Homemade Pizza

Hope everyone’s weekend has been going well! I’ve been watching Scandal (just started season 1) and making pizza.

First, I picked up the below ingredients from the grocery store.

I also got a little help from Pillsbury.

In retrospective, I probably won’t use this dough again. It tasted slightly sweet, which was kind of strange.

I decided to make a “Margherita” pizza, topped with fresh mozzarella, garlic, basil, and Campari tomatoes (even though the tomatoes aren’t typical.) The Campari tomatoes were so good, I skipped the pizza sauce for the second pizza. It was topped with the tomatoes, oyster mushrooms, portobello mushrooms, red onions, mozzarella, garlic, red pepper flakes, and olive oil.

Can’t forget a glass of red wine!

(This is a wine glass I made with a Ron Burgundy/Anchorman quote).

Topped with prosciutto and served with an arugula salad!

Do you ever make pizza at home? Do you make your own dough or take a shortcut like I did?
